Alabama Statewide Parent Information and Resource Center (Alabama PIRC)
The Alabama PIRC was funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Innovation and Improvement in 2006.
PIRC serves parents in every county of Alabama. We provide training, information and support to parents of children in low

Coosa County Partnership for Youth
CCPY is a joint project of the Alabama Parent Education Center, Coosa County Public Schools, Cheaha Mental
Health Center and the Alabama Department of Mental Health/Mental Retardation. CCPY is funded by a grant from
the U.S. Department of Education to improve and enhance the existing system for the delivery of mental health
services to children attending public schools. For more information about CCPY activities, contact our office.
Programs of Adult and Community Education (PACE)
The Alabama Parent Education Center Programs of Adult and Community Education (PACE) provides programming to assist
adult learners who are committed to improving their academic and life skills. We provide instruction and assistance to adults
preparing for their GED. This program operates in conjunction with other family serving agencies to locate participants and
provide services.
Alabama Network for Children with Disabilities
The Alabama Network for Children with Disabilities is a statewide project that provides training and information to
parents of special needs students. We train Parent Leaders across the state to work with other parents to increase the
educational outcome of disabled students age birth to twenty six, regardless of severity. The website for ANCD is under

Fathers Foward
The Alabama Parent Education Center provides a Fatherhood Initiative Program, generously funded by the Children's Trust Fund
of Alabama. This project was designed to reduce childhood abuse and neglect by encouraging the increased involvement of
